A festival with many events in different places of Town Hall I, featuring video installations, guided tours, site-specific performances, and a photographic exhibition to inaugurate the EMoT Tree Museum. The EMoT Tree Museum is a widespread, digitized, free, and accessible museum: a path of 12 precious trees located in the historic center of the city.
19 April at 16.00: Inaugural Talk at the Botanical Garden of the Orangery to reflect on the importance of a green culture with Sabrina Alfonsi, Councillor for the Environment of the Municipality of Rome; Fabio Attorre, director of the Botanical Garden, Sapienza University of Rome; Prof. Giorgio Vacchiano, professor in Forest Management and Planning at the State University of Milan; Francesca Rachele Oppedisano, curator at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni; the artist Michele Guido; Daniele Taffon, responsible for the environment and biodiversity at Foundation Campagna Amica; Lara De Angelis and Pierpaolo Fabrizio, creators and curators of the EMoT Tree Museum; Arianna Fusco, Emiliano Proietti Pannunzi, Roberta Petronio, and Martina Closes from The Sect of Extinct Poets with a performance/reading.
Also scheduled are numerous tours along the path of the 12 trees, 3 video installations by the FLxER collective in different squares of the center, and a site-specific performance by the artist Silvia Girardi.
Arranged on 3 floors, the multidisciplinary exhibition “Piani Verdi” hosts the works of various artists, from “Planet Fungi” by Stephen Axford and Catherine Marciniak to the documentary film “Bruno Latour – the ultimate interview” by Camille De Chenay and Nicolas Truong, and the photo exhibition by Valentina Bellomo, Giacomo Ciangottini, and Davide Palmieri.
EMoT-Museo degli Alberi is a project of Bluecheese Project funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU – PNRR Digital Transition for Cultural and Creative Bodies, with the patronage of the Department of Agriculture, Environment, and Waste Cycle.
