How Much Is a Standard Colosseum Ticket?
The normal 24H Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine ticket costs €18 for a full-price adult.
It includes one timed entry to the standard Colosseum route together with access to the Roman Forum-Palatine archaeological area within the ticket’s validity. The standard Colosseum route covers the first and second levels and does not include the Arena Floor, Underground or Attic.

Full Experience Arena: €24
The Full Experience Arena ticket combines the normal Colosseum route with Arena Floor access. It is valid for two consecutive days and includes the wider Full Experience archaeological route.

The Full Experience Underground + Arena ticket costs €24 for full adult admission and includes both restricted areas as part of the wider Full Experience route.
PArCo currently also sells a version with an educational tour for €32 full price. The €24 admission product and €32 educational-tour product are different products.

Full Experience Attic: €24
The Full Experience Attic ticket currently costs €24 and includes the panoramic-lift route to the upper Attic area.
PArCo currently limits each Attic visit to a maximum of 8 people. The product does not include Underground or Arena Floor access.

Only Arena Ticket Price: €18
The official Only Arena ticket currently costs €18, the same full adult price as Standard Entry.
Inside the Colosseum, however, it is a different product. It provides a 20-minute Arena Floor visit only rather than the normal first- and second-level route.
It also includes access to the Roman Forum-Palatine archaeological area and included SUPER sites within the ticket’s 24-hour validity.
Do not choose between Standard Entry and Only Arena by price. Both cost €18. Choose according to the Colosseum experience you want: Standard Entry gives you the normal interior route, while Only Arena gives you the Arena Floor.
Official Ticket Prices vs Third-Party Prices
Third-party prices change much more frequently than official admission prices, so I would not hard-code a universal claim that Viator, GetYourGuide or another marketplace always costs a specific amount more.
Instead, compare the actual commercial product against the relevant official baseline.

Are There Extra Online Booking Fees?
I would not add a universal €2 online booking fee to every official Colosseum ticket.
Current official ticket pages list the relevant fares themselves as €18, €24 and €2 reduced. Applying an additional €2 surcharge to every product as though it were a universal rule would therefore be misleading.
Use the official published fare as the baseline: €18 for Standard Entry, €18 for Only Arena and €24 for the main Full Experience products. If the checkout for a specific product displays another charge, judge that charge in the context of that exact booking.
Who Gets a Reduced €2 Colosseum Ticket?
The official reduced admission rate is €2 for eligible European Union citizens from age 18 until the day of their 25th birthday.
This is an age-and-citizenship concession, not a universal student discount. Visitors claiming the reduced fare must satisfy the applicable eligibility rules.

Do Children Pay for Colosseum Tickets?
Visitors under 18 qualify for free admission under the official rules.
The appropriate free-ticket procedure still has to be followed. Current PArCo guidance states that children under 18 book through the official ticketing system, while capacity-controlled Only Arena and Full Experience products require advance booking.
There is no basis for presenting every child’s free ticket as carrying a universal €2 booking fee.

Is There a Senior Discount for the Colosseum?
There is no general official senior-discount category simply for being over a certain age.
The headline reduced fare is the €2 ticket for qualifying EU citizens aged 18 until the day of their 25th birthday, alongside separate statutory free-admission categories.
So visitors aged 65, 70 or 75 should not assume there is an age-based senior price unless they independently qualify under another concession.
Are There Group Discounts?
I would not advertise a blanket percentage group discount.
PArCo currently states that combined group tickets are not available and that individual tickets should be purchased together where possible. Current group rules allow a maximum of 25 people including the guide, with a whisper system required for guided groups from 10 people.
Those are operational group rules, not a guaranteed discount on admission.
Free Colosseum Entry Days in 2026
The Archaeological Park currently lists free admission on:
- the first Sunday of every month;
- 25 April;
- 2 June;
- 4 November.
Public free-day procedures differ from normal paid timed admission. Recent 2026 free-day instructions use ticket collection in order of arrival rather than the normal paid reservation process.
Restricted areas can also be unavailable on public free days, so check the official notice for the specific date if Arena, Underground or upper-level access matters to you.

How Much Does the 2026 Colosseum Night Tour Cost?
The official A Night at the Colosseum 2026 product currently costs €50 full price.
PArCo breaks the full price down as:
- €24 Full Experience admission;
- €26 guided-tour component.
The reduced price is €28, consisting of €2 reduced Full Experience admission plus the €26 guided-tour component.
Visitors otherwise entitled to free admission generally pay the €26 guided-tour component only. Children under six are free for the 2026 night product.
The guided night visit lasts approximately 60 minutes and covers the first tier, Arena Floor and Underground. It operates on selected Tuesday and Thursday evenings in 2026 and is sold only through the official website.

Do Colosseum Ticket Prices Increase If You Book Late?
The official admission price is not presented as dynamic pricing. Standard admission remains €18 and the main Full Experience admission products remain €24 at their published official fares.
What changes when you book late is availability.
If the €18 or €24 official product you want is no longer available, you may end up choosing a higher-priced commercial tour or another product. That can make a late booking more expensive even though the official fare itself has not increased.

Can You Save Money by Buying at the Colosseum?
Do not build your buying strategy around avoiding an assumed universal online booking fee.
Since 4 May 2026, visitors purchasing the normal 24H Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine ticket on site can buy it exclusively at the Piazza del Colosseo ticket office, subject to availability.
The ticket offices at Largo della Salara Vecchia and Foro Romano 1 sell Forum Pass SUPER tickets instead.
Do not risk the visit merely to chase a theoretical saving. If the official timed ticket you want is available online at the published fare, securing the visit is usually more important than hoping suitable on-site inventory remains.

€18 Standard Entry is the best pure-value ticket for most first-time visitors. It covers the core Colosseum experience plus the Forum and Palatine without paying for restricted access you may not care about.
€24 Full Experience can be excellent value when you genuinely want the restricted area. Paying €6 more for Arena, Underground or Attic access is a relatively small official price difference.
Third-party products should be judged separately. Pay the commercial premium when the guide, cancellation terms, timing, group format or availability solves a real problem.
